Mythical Champagne
Crafted by Heidsieck et Compagnie created in 1785 by Florent-Louis Heidsieck, the Champagne Piper-Heidsieck appears in 1834. The family house joins the Rémy Cointreau group in 1989 before being acquired in 2011 by the EAR (European of Industrial Participations) group, with the Champagne Charles Heidsieck. Piper-Heidsieck relies on its 65-hectare vineyard to develop and market Champagnes of character, under the aegis of Cécile Bonnefond.
Magnificent bottle, dressed in a dazzling packaging, a sophisticated alliance of gold and the symbolic cardinal red of the brand.
Visual Aspect:
·
golden, bright.
·
very fine, twinkling bubbles.
·
distinguished bead of bubbles.
Nose:
·
Rich
and sensual.
·
Blooming
aromas of honey, Viennese pastries, evolving towards chocolate, blond tobacco
and roasted coffee, expressions of the accomplished maturity obtained by 10
years of ageing on laths before disgorgement.
·
Patience
reveals a rare complexity, with scents of apple, pear, hazelnut, almond,
apricot and raisins, signatures of the 70% of Chardonnay, complemented by a
touch of red berries and spices, expressions of the 30% of Pinot Noir.
Palate:
·
Striking
first taste, with a dense minerality, inimitable mark of the noble terroirs of
origin of the grapes, mainly selected in the Montagne de Reims.
·
The
palate then blooms, fleshy and warm, delicately spicy, in an endless caress, discreetly
underlined by the sparkling.
·
Smooth finish.
· Endless length in the palate.
