Aspect: Golden and brilliant. Refined and
dynamic bubbles. Nose: Sensual and elegant. The
majority of Pinot Noir (92%),
selected in the Grands Crus (Aÿ, Ambonnay, Bouzy, Verzy and Verzenay), gently
establishes itself with generous aromas of red and black fruits, punctuated
by subtle spices (liquorice, pepper and cinnamon). |
Palate: The
outstanding finesse of the opening, underlined by flavours of white fruits and candied citrus fruits, delicate
signatures of the Chardonnay (8%) from Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the Côte des
Blancs, unveils a bright fullness, characteristic sign of the maturity of the
champagne obtained by 10 years of ageing on laths of the bottles, in the
cellars of the house. With this cuvée La Grande Dame 2008, Dominique
Demarville, cellar master, signs a magnificent champagne. |
