Guide VERON des Champagnes 2012

The
family Dubois who settled in Venteuil in the heart of the Marne valley has been
growing passionately his 7 hectares vineyard for almost 100 years. The family
has been elaborating his Champagne in line with the principles of the
tradition.
The presentation of this Champagne is careful. Its
label is bearing the effigy of the founder of the brand, Edmond Dubois.
Appearance :
- Golden yellow with green
flashes
- Fine bubbles
- Refined Cordon
- Clear and brilliant
Aroma :
- Outstanding,
open and charming
- First nose is hearty marked by overtones of brioche and buns deliciously
roasted which express the great maturity of the Champagne obtained by a
patient and well-mastered ageing on lath
- Development towards hazelnut, citrus, translation of the 50% of
Chardonnay that make up the blending, peppered with overtones of prune,
cinnamon and brandy cherry due to the 50 % of Pinot Noir.
Taste :
- Frank attack, unusual for a wine of that age
- Subtle balance between an ample roundness and vivacity, result of
the ageing of basis wines into old oak tuns for 10 to 12 months
- Finale deliciously peppered
- Great length on the palate
This Blending of the Rédempteur
Vintage 1999 Brut has been endowed with an engaging personality. One is
intrigued by its harmony close to fullness. It rewards the responsible
viti-viticulture process of the Champagne of the Rédempteur.
