Guide VERON des Champagnes 2012
(around 23 euros per bottle)
Located in the heart of the
Champagne area since 1955, Beaumont des Crayères has been selling abroad 80% of
his Champagne on the 5 continents.
The presentation of this Champagne
is traditional. Its name is poetic and suggestive.
Appearance :
- Light yellow
- Tonic sparkling
- Fine bubbles
- Refined and persistent Cordon
- Luminuous
Aroma :
- Gorgeous and sensuous, it discloses all the
sharpness and elegance of the Chardonnay
- First nose marked by butter and brioche to go with crystallized
citrus, result of a long ageing on lath during which the yeast of the
« prise de mousse » autolyse
- The patience of the taster is then rewarded by the appearance of delicate aroma of hazelnut and roasted coffee peppered with dry fruit tinges (prune, apricot, raisin,…), honey and beeswax.
Taste :
- Lively, tensed, racy and miner al attack, result of a strict selection
of the musts during pressing. It
is quickly replaced by a fleshly and touching roundness
- Dynamic sparkling which is astonishing for a Champagne of that
maturity
- Voluptuous, creamy and slightly acid finale with a citrus dominant
characteristic
- Outstanding length on the palate
This Blending Fleur Blanche 2002 has been endowed with a genuine, charming and engaging personality. It is a real success for the Champagne Beaumont des Crayères.
Ideal for the aperitif but can also be served with starters and seafood dishes.
