Aspect: Beautiful
golden colour, bright. Fine and
regular effervescence, refined. Nose: Generous
and endless complexity. Scents of nice ripe apple and pear, candied citrus
fruits and hazelnut, signatures of the majority of Chardonnay (95%), driven
by touches of red and black fruits and subtle spices, thanks to 5% of Pinot
Noir. |
Palate: Sensual balance,
soft and deep, highlighted by notes of honey and pastries, deliciously
roasted, revelations of the maturity of the cuvée obtained by 7 years of ageing on laths of the bottles, with
slow autolysis of the prise de mousse
yeasts. Heady finish,
supported by the 7 g/L of sugar added during the dosage, as a grape
sugar. With this Millésime 2011, Hugo Redon signs
a remarkable champagne and with a very good value for money. |
