Careful
and luxurious presentation.
Aspect :

Pale gold, bright.

Fine bubbles.

Elegant bead of
bubbles, persistent.
Nose :
·
Charming and radiant,
definitely thanks to the respect of the long period between the disgorgement
and the marketing (3 months minimum).
·
The Chardonnay, exclusive
varietal of the cuvée, rigorously
selected on old plots (over 30 years), unveils its whole complexity and its
elegance, with some touching scents of citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit),
apple, pear, almond and hazelnut, and a gentle iodized and mentholated touch.

Patience is rewarded by the
appearance of soft fragrances of brioche, pastries, barely toasted, expression
of the maturity of the Champagne obtained by ageing on laths of the bottles for
2 years before disgorgement.
Palate :

Straight and lively attack, probably the result of the
selection of the first juices (cuvée),
purer, during the soft pressing of the grapes, coupled with a refined
minerality.
·
The mouth is then silky and warm, perhaps the result
of the judicious fulfillment of the malolactic fermentation of the base wines.
·
Deep finish,
deliciously acidulous.
·
Great length on the palate.
With this Brut
Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru, Alain Brixon, its producer, offers us a high
level Blanc de Blancs, inspired interpretation of the Premier Cru terroir of Ludes, exclusive origin of
the grapes.
To taste
as an aperitif, or why not during a meal among friends, to accompany a fried
lobster with ginger and candied lemon, for example.
Wine growers from fathers to sons
since 1932, the Champagne House Brixon Coquillard cultivates its vineyard of
3.25 hectares, located on the Premiers Crus terroir
of Ludes (3 ha), Rilly-la-Montagne and Ecueil, in the greatest respect of the
environment. A careful oenology, with vinification in small vats, gives birth
to 20,000 bottles per year of a range inspired by quality Champagnes.
