Champagne Benoit Tassin – Brut Rosé

Original and neat presentation.

Aspect :

·        Amber, dense and bright, the result of the perfect control of the maceration of the grapes (3 to 4 days), before devatting and pressing.
·        Elegant and lively bubbles.
·        Delicate bead of foam.

Nose :

·        Radiant, it provides immediately an intense pleasure.
·        Aromas of candied red fruits, signatures of the Pinot Noir, unique varietal of the Champagne, harvested at perfect ripeness (10.5 to 11 natural degrees of alcohol) in 2010, in the locality “Les Fioles” south-southeast facing, in Celles-sur-Ource.
·        Later, some joyful scents of violet, leather and spices interlace the warm smoked and roasted notes, expressions of the maturity of the cuvée allowed by 3 years of ageing on laths of the bottles, before manual ridding and disgorgement on the spot.

Palate :

·        Sensual and silky opening.
·        Revealing the red fruits already perceived at the nose, heightened by the fleshy structure, thanks to the carbonic maceration at the beginning of the vatting obtained by the vatting of the whole harvest (only 20% of the grapes are crushed), coupled with a touch of honey and gingerbread.
·        Deep and warm finish underlined by a creamy effervescence.
·        Very great length on the palate.

With this Brut Rosé, Benoit Tassin, its producer, offers us a high level rosé made by maceration, vinified with talent, without chaptalization and with very low dosages of Sulphur.

To taste during festive meals, to accompany a vol-au-vent with crayfish and morels, for example.

Passionate wine grower from Celles-sur-Ource, the Champagne House Benoit Tassin cultivates its vineyard of 4.75 hectares spread over Essoyes (2 thirds) and Celles-sur-Ource (1 third) in the Côte des Bar, in the greatest respect of the environment. The rigorous selection of the best grapes and a controlled oenology, with a long settling of the musts after pressing, give birth to around 16,000 bottles of Champagne with personality each year.
