Mythical Champagne
Great Cuvées of Champagne Tasting Selection
Bright
and inimitable bottle.
Aspect:
Golden
and brilliant.
Refined
bubbles.
Bead
of scattered bubbles, persistent.
Nose:
Sensual,
it slowly reveals its endless generosity.
Aromas
of red and black fruits and violet, punctuated by delicate spices, exciting
signatures of the Pinot Noir, exclusive varietal of the cuvée.
The nose evolves towards a joyful fullness, with its sensual fragrances
of brioche, cocoa and roasted coffee, expressions of the maturity of the
Champagne obtained by 4 years of ageing on laths, underlined by reserved woody
notes, result of the vinification and the ageing of the base wines in oak
barrels from the Argonne forest.
Palate:
Dense attack, highlighted by a delicious tension obtained by the
rigorous selection of the best juices, at tasting, during the pressing of the
grapes.
The mouth is then revealed, deep and tasty, delicately iodized, with
its subtle hints of exotic fruits thanks to the alcoholic fermentation of the
base wines at low temperature.
Warm finish, silky and caressing.
Fabulous length on the palate.
With
this cuvée Code Noir, reference to the decoding of the vine genome in 2007,
Sébastien Le Golvet, cellar master of the Champagne House Henri Giraud, was
able to orchestrate the natural osmosis between chalk from Aÿ and “gaize” from
Argonne, to offer us the touching quintessence of the Pinot Noir.
To
taste during festive meals, to accompany a hind fillet with its perfumes of
juniper, for example.
Settled in Aÿ,
Grand Cru of the Marne Valley, historic capital of Champagne, The Champagne
House Henri Giraud continues its endless quest of excellence. Lead by the sense
of collectiveness, conviviality and champenois
traditions of Claude Giraud, its emblematic chief executive officer, the House
does tirelessly its utmost to compose the original symbiosis between wines of
Champagne and barrels from the Argonne forest, to establish its inimitable
style.
