Vue :
·
Pale gold.
·
Fine bubbles.
·
Delicate bead of bubbles.
Nez :
·
Refined and intense, endless
aromatic farandole.
·
Subtle scents of bitter almond
and hazelnut, evolving towards citrus fruits, apple and pear, punctuated by
touching iodized and mentholated notes, original signatures of the Chardonnay,
exclusive varietal of the cuvée,
carefully selected in a plot of 22 ares in Vanault-le-Châtel.
·
The nose is then caressing,
with gentle touches of marzipan and caramel.
Bouche :
·
Pure and dense attack thanks to the rigorous selection
of the first juices (cuvée) during
the pressing of the grapes, early in the morning, and to the timely stop of the
malolactic fermentation of the base wines.
·
The mouth then becomes sensual, enhanced by the
maturity of the Champagne obtained by the ageing on laths of the bottles for 5
years before disgorgement.
·
Finish taking us in a life-giving breath, perhaps the
original force of the Vitryat terroir enhanced by the freshness of the grapes
harvested during the night of the 27 September 2008.
·
Impressive length on the palate.
With this cuvée Songe d’une nuit de vendanges - Millésime 2008 – Extra Brut, first Champagne obtained from a night harvest time, Bertrand Trépo, its producer, signs an unforgettable interpretation of the great year 2008.
To taste during a meal, with scallops with caviar, for
example.
