Aspect :
·
Dense gold,
bright.
·
Extremely fine bubbles.
·
Refined bead of
bubbles.
Nose :
·
Joyful, it takes us into its
captivating universe of evasive aromatic variations, endless and sensual.
·
Hints of apple, pear, walnut,
fig, white flowers, expressions of the Chardonnay (27%), carefully selected on
the Grands Crus terroirs of Avize, Le
Mesnil-sur-Oger, and on the Mountain of Reims.
·
The Pinot Noir (62%), chosen
in the Grands Crus vineyard of Aÿ, Bouzy, Louvois and Ambonnay, and in the
Premier Cru of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ is then slowly revealed, supported by the Pinot
Meunier (11% from the Premier Cru of Pierry and from Châtillon-sur-Marne), with
some scents of red and black fruits, underlined by a touch of spice.
·
Rare maturity, with some warm
scents of chocolate and roasted coffee.
Bouche :
·
Particularly tasty opening, balanced and deep.
·
The mouth then reveals its outstanding presence and
amplitude, improbable combination of subtlety and of reserved power, supported
by the creamy effervescence and the minerality.
·
The gourmet finish makes way to a fabulous length on
the palate.

Deutz, delivers us an unforgettable of the great year 2002.

Settled in Aÿ since 1838, the
Champagne House Deutz has forged close relationships with partner wine-growers,
based on trust and transparency, to cultivate its vineyard of 200 hectares
located in the best Crus of Champagne (80% of Grands and Premiers Crus), with a
constant desire to limit its environmental footprint and to perpetuate the
Deutz style, producing highly expressive Champagnes.
